Major Russian Attacks Cut Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has increased assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with attacks already affecting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and authorities were anticipating more assaults.
